Prayer House Chapel urges Ghanaians to support Government

The Reverend Alfred Acheampong, General overseer of International Prayer House Chapel, has called on Ghanaians to rally behind the government as it seeks to return the country unto the path of progress and prosperity.

He said what Ghanaians needed to understand and believe was that they can also make it in Ghana and improve upon their standards of living.

Rev Acheampong made the call at a special Thanksgiving Service to commemorate the change of the name of the church from International Gospel Prayer Ministry to International Prayer House Chapel, at Madina in Accra.

On the 2016 general election, Rev. Acheampong noted that Ghana’s standing in the league of democratic nations has scored more points because of the peaceful outcome of the elections.

‘Our elections were conducted without any turmoil’ he said adding that the Ghanaian people exercised their franchise peacefully. Ghana is at peace and I am confident that very soon there will be positive economic development for all of us’. He concluded.

Rev Acheampong urged Christians to open a chapter by refraining from acts that hinder national development.

He attributed some of the country’s socio-economic woes to Christians mad rush for monetary gains instead of seeking their spiritual well-being.

Rev Acheampons said the church would continue to preach the unadulterated word of God at all times, support the poor and the needy and also work harder than before in order to win more souls for Christ.
