Apostle Ekatso, founder and leader of Ekatso Ministries, has called for urgent prayers for Christianity, following the demise of Pope Francis.

He emphasised the need to safeguard the Christian faith during a time of potential upheaval.

Pope Francis, aged 88, passed away in the early hours of April 21, 2025, Easter Monday, after suffering a cerebral stroke that led to a coma and irreversible cardiac arrest.

During a prophetic service broadcast on Ekatso TV on December 25, 2024, Apostle Ekatso claimed to have foreseen the death of a prominent man of God, an event he believed would unveil significant secrets about Christianity.

Following the Pope’s death, the Apostle, known for his prophetic declarations, reiterated his call for prayers to protect the Christian faith.

A post on his Facebook page, dated April 22, 2025, read, “PROPHECY CONFIRMATION: On December 25, 2024, Apostle Ekatso prophesied that a prominent man of God would soon depart from this world and urged the world to pray for our men of God. On Easter Monday, April 21, 2025, news portals reported that Pope Francis has died at the age of 88. God is still speaking.”

In his December 2024 prophecy, Apostle Ekatso also predicted that the death of an unnamed Christian leader would lead to the release of books revealing information that could significantly impact Christians, underscoring the need for spiritual vigilance.

He has now called on Christians around the world to unite in prayer for the well-being and resilience of Christianity during this critical period.
