Pastor calls for hard work in 2011

Accra, Jan. 3, GNA - The Reverend Fitzgerald Odonkor, Head Pastor of Harvest Chapel International (HCI), on Monday called for hard work in 2011 to attract God's exceptional grace for social-economic transformation. "In 2011, God will (reward) those who labour abundantly with exceptional grace," Rev. Odonkor told the Ghana News Agency in an intervi= ew in Accra. He explained that in 2011, which is the beginning of a new decade, God would do new things out of the ordinary, which would be uncommon and unprecedented in the life of the country. "But we must understand that to go through this year, we need God'= s unmerited favour and exceptional grace, as there will be challenges; the lions will roar, physical and spiritual attacks will come our way but in th= e midst of all God will endow us with special grace to overcome," he said. Setting the parameters for attracting exceptional grace in 2011, Rev. Odonkor said: 93We must seek and acknowledge God at all times, work with convictions and beyond the ordinary, be ready to serve God and mankind, trust God, exceed the work we did in 2010 and walk in righteousness.

"This year promises to be one that will totally exceed our expectati= ons as God intervenes in special ways to make himself known to us. The banner, which we are holding high this year, is one of 91exceptional Grace.'" Rev. Odonkor said in this year we would place great emphasis on that which was divine or of God. 93We will do this because we realize that man has his limitations and when we focus on man we will be limited in what we can achieve." He said in 2011 we can expect divine intervention in every area of our lives to make exceptional grace possible.

"God will show us great faithfulness and no matter how high we raise our bar of expectation he will lift it higher. We must therefore begin the year by going out of the natural mode to the supernatural drive because we are depending on the divine to change our circumstances."
