Pastor ask Ghanaians to pray for national development

Hohoe (V/R), April 11, GNA - Reverend Nii Armah Adeesah, National President of Friends of the Gospel has demanded continuous prayers from Christians to help the country realize her potentials in the comity of nations.

He said the country has enormous prospects and was at the verge of economic take-off but it would take fervent prayers to actualize this for the breakthrough.

Rev. Adeesah, was speaking at the launch of the Volta Regional branch of Friends of the Gospel, a Christian non-denominational group in Hohoe at the weekend. He said many people found themselves at the wrong places in life, because they could not tap their potentials. Rev. Adeesah, also the Founder and General Overseer of Calvary Baptist Ministries International noted that Africans are making slow progresses in growing their economies owing to the fact that "we failed to seek for knowledge and wisdom, as a people." He admonished Ghanaians to eschew mental stereotypes that the black race is inferior, explaining that God created man, equal in his semblance and image.

Rev. Adeesah commended President John Evans Atta Mills for instituting a National Fasting and Prayer week saying "it was the key that would unlock the breakthroughs and make Ghana the real black and shining star of Africa." Mr Emile Atsu Searyo, Regional President of the Group entreated Ghanaians to seek God's direction and wisdom in all their endeavours. He exhorted Christians to realize that "we serve one God and must therefore work hand-in-hand to promulgate the Gospel.
