Pastor Vincent launches book

The President of Outdoor Prayer Network, a non-denominational prayer ministry,
Pastor Vincent Yaw Preko, has launched his book, Across The Valleys of Life: in
Sunyani.

Speaking at launch ceremony, Pastor Vincent said life is full of events and
situations which leave man with many unanswered questions, but in the midst of all
the difficulties, we need to acknowledge the presence and abilities of Jesus upon
whose support we can rely.

The author points out in the book subtitled: “living peacefully in a troubled
world”, that in this physical life, there are things that can be easily achieved if
you know people in high places. It happens in politics, ministry, careers, family
and many other areas, and as long as you remain a human being, you can not avoid
this.

He adds that many people have made it in life mainly through the backing and support
of the rich and powerful, who pull the strings on behalf of their protégés.
Pastor Vincent underscores that though as a believer you live in the physical world,
you may not have the physical backing of a powerful mentor. Therefore, to succeed,
we need to associate ourselves with a higher authority whose inevitable support
becomes crucial if we are to secure our various places in life.
“For someone like me who can not count on the endorsement of a “bigman” in the
physical, I have through my struggles to the top, come to meet a “Higher Authority
General” who doesn’t need a “special relationship” with you to help you. He is
neither interested in your CV nor your political affiliation and he has thrown an
invitation to the world to come unto Him all who labour and are heavy laden for
rest”, Pastor Vincent said.
The 86-page book, foreworded by Dr. Joyce Aryee, is an affirmation of faith for the
believer, and also for the provision of answers to life’s most difficult and
frustrating questions.
The book which dwells extensively on Psalm 23, treats topics such as, ‘The Lord is
my Shepherd, I shall not Want’, ‘He Makes Me Lie Down in Green Pastures’, ‘He Leads
Me Beside Quiet Waters’, ‘He Restores My Soul’, ‘In The Paths of Righteousness for
His Name’s Sake’, ‘In The Valleys of the Shadows of Death’, ‘You Prepare Me a Table
in the Presence of My Enemies’, ‘You Anoint My Head With Oil’, ‘Goodness and Mercy
in the House of the Lord’.
Across The Valleys of Life, seeks to explore the relationship between David and his
flock, and to compare it with his relationship with the Lord. The book also allows
the reader to draw comparisons between the first flock of sheep who have a good
shepherd and the second flock that struggles because it is led by an unreliable
shepherd.
In her foreword to the book, Miss Joyce Aryee encourages readers to read with these
two flocks in mind and try to see through how this concept of comparisons permeates
facets of christian life, and how you can trust the shepherd as an individual.
Pastor Vincent, a prolific writer and conference speaker, has a special assignment
to help build prayer ministries around the world, and to preach the message of hope.
This mission cuts across individual prayer lives, churches, universities,
polytechnics, colleges, pastors, christian fellowships among others.
This mission has taken the author to some countries around the globe where has held
very successful conferences and crusades.
Pastor Vincent’s ministry is characterized by strong prophetic anointing, healing,
miracles and deliverance. He understands the subjects of forgiveness for mankind in
Christ Jesus, restoration and living in the power of the lord.
Across The valleys of Life, a must read for every christian, is printed by Combert
