The Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra, Most Reverend Charles G. Palmer–Buckle has ordained five priests in the Catholic Church.

They were Reverend Paul Ebow Quarshie, Rev Patrick Quaroopome, Rev Frederick Kwame Mensah Okusu, Rev Raphael Hessah and Rev Courage Senam Dogbey.

Concelebrating with hosts of other priests, Most Rev Palmer Buckle reminded the newly-ordained priests to remain obedient to God and the church and strive to lead a chaste life.

“Be self disciplined and love all the people that God has entrusted into your care while proclaiming the Good News like John the Baptist”.

He said as priests they should proclaim the Word of God to the whole world and let people benefit from the spiritual gift that God has given to them.

“Take great care of what you do and teach the laity but remember not to teach about what you think about Jesus Christ,” he averred.

Most Rev Palmer Buckle urged the newly-ordained priests to continue to be obedient to them and the people of God whom they have vowed to serve.”

He also entreated the five priests to proclaim the Good News.

The Metropolitan Archbishop urged the congregation to constantly pray for their priests in these challenging times.

“I would like to urge your superiors to also impact you in their experiences for you to be better priests.

The ceremony attracted a host of catholic lay faithful, including priests and other religious leaders.
