National Secretary of Presbyterian Men's Fellowship

Koforidua, Aug. 18, GNA - Mr Felix Boampong Wiredu, Mathematics Tutor of Pope John's Senior High School in Koforidua was last week-end elected National Secretary of Presbyterian Men's Fellowship.

Mr Wiredu 56, from Akuapem Presbytery of the church polled 113 out of the 275 votes cast to beat Mr George Aboagye of Abuakwa Presbytery who had 100 votes and Mr E. Siaw Otu of Ga Presbytery who had 55 votes.

The election was supervised by Reverend E.T. Tekpetey,

Director of Church Life and Nurture (CLAN) at the 26th Annual

National Delegates Conference of the Fellowship hosted by

Akuapem Presbytery in Koforidua. Seven delegates abstained from the election. Mr Wiredu expressed appreciation to the delegates for the

confidence reposed in him. He appealed for co-operation from members of the Fellowship

and pledged to work diligently towards growth of the Fellowship.
