Social Festival Greetings Muslims must unite in brotherly love

Koforidua, Nov. 16, GNA - Alhaji Omar Bodinga, Eastern

Regional first vice- chairman of the New Patriotic Party, (NPP) has

appealed to Muslims to let the tenets of Eid-ul-Adha unite them. He said Muslims throughout the country should see

themselves as one people with a common destiny as they celebrate

the festival which signifies sacrifice and purification in order to

forgive each other's mistake and wrong doings. Alhaji Bodinga said if Muslims see themselves as

brothers and sisters from one family with a common destiny all

conflicts within their communities throughout the country would

come to a halt. Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an

interview in Koforidua, on Tuesday, he said the contributions of

Muslims to the development of Ghana over the years could not be

over-emphasized. Alhaji Bodinga urged Ghanaians to discard the notion

that Muslims are violent people and rather see them as their brothers

and sisters. He also called on Muslim youth not to allow themselves

to be used by any individual, group of people or political party to

cause confusion between now and the next election. Alhaji Bodinga said as they celebrate the important festival on the
