Mormons marks "Helping Hands Day" with clean-up exercise

Ho, Aug. 26, GNA - About 25 members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints at the weekend cleared weeds and tidied up precincts of the Ghana News Agency (GNA), the Judicial Service and the Social Security and Insurance Trust in Ho to mark the Mormons "Helping Hands Day".

Moses Asani, a member of the Church told the GNA that the Day epitomized the proverbial humanitarian posture of Jesus and that every year, members picked on a job to do to help society. He said the cleanup this year underscored the adage that "cleanliness is next to Godliness."

Mr Asani said Mormons are community spirited people, ready to work for the good of mankind.

He said currently the Ho Mormons has a membership of 340. 26 Aug. 09
