Mormons donate to flood victims

Kumasi, Dec. 21, GNA - Members of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints (Mormons) in Kumasi on Friday donated relief items valued GH=A22,000 to flood victims in the three northern regions. The items included clothing, shoes and handbags.

Presenting the items, Mr Richard Samche, President of Kumasi-Ghana Stake of the Church, said the church was touched by the ordeal that the victims had gone through in the three regions, hence the need to come to their aid with the items as a temporary relief to them.

Mr Kofi Osei Amponsah, Ashanti regional NADMO Co-ordinator, who received the items on behalf of the victims, gave assurance that the items would be distributed to the flood victims to enhance their living conditions. 21 Dec. 07
