Moderator urged Christians to be the salt of the earth

Accra, March 17, GNA- Right Reverend Dr. Yaw Frimpong Manso, Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, on Friday asked Christians to be the salt of the earth by leading exemplary lives to promote the kingdom of God.

He said the attitude and character of a Christian should be a life of discipline, trustworthiness, honesty and purity, which were traits of Jesus Christ.

Rt. Rev Frimpong Manso gave the advice when he ended a month's visit to some selected Churches and schools in the Ga Presbytery in the Greater Accra Region.

The trip was to enable the Moderator observe at first hand progress of the Churches and to inspect school projects that were under construction.

Rt. Rev. Frimpong Manso advised Christians to observe the tenets of Christianity and to fight against immorality and to effectively contribute to national development.

He said " I therefore charge all Christians to be the salt and light of the earth to help win people for Christ". Rev. Oppong Kyekyeku, District Minister of the Ga Presbytery, said the visit by the Moderator was an honour to the Church. He said the Church had opened 17 new branches and called on the Church Council to rehabilitate existing Chapels and build Chapels for new branches.
