Methodist Raffiki Village undertakes clean-up exercise

The Very Reverend Ekow Say, the Director of the Methodist Raffiki Village, has called on the Effutu Municipal Assembly to work on the dumping site at the public cemetery at Effutu Sankro.

Rev Say made the call after he had led community members to undertake a two-and-half clean-up exercise at Effutu Sankro in the Municipality.

They cleared refuse on the road and weeded over-grown bushes.

Rev Say said the dumping site was posing health hazards, especially to school children in the area, adding that if care was not taken, there would be an outbreak of an epidemic.

He advised drivers of the refuse trucks to do the proper thing by dumping the rubbish into the cubicles for easy burning.

Rev Say said the Raffiki Village was a home established by the Methodist Church, Ghana at Effutu Ghyahadze in the Effutu Municipality, to cater for the less privileged and orphans.

He appealed to the Assembly to station some of their workers at the dumping site to manage the place.
