Right Reverend Dr. Seth Senyo Agidi, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, (EPC) Ghana, has urged Ghanaians especially Christians to use their God-given talents to help each other, develop the Country and also glorify God.

“Life is not what we are but how we use our God-given talents to help others,” he said.

Rt. Rev. Dr. Adigi said this in a Sermon at the funeral of the late madam Irene Todomeklu, 94, mother of Rev. Lawson Dzorku, Chaplain of the E.P University College and immediate past Secretary of the E.P Church Pastors Association at Akrofu Agorve in the Ho Municipality.

The Sermon, on the theme “Strive to enter the narrow gate “was taken from the Gospel of Saint Luke, Chapter 13 verse 22 to 30.

Rt. Rev. Dr. Agidi urged Ghanaians to shun the easy way of life, eschew greed and think of what to do for Mother Ghana and not vice versa.

He said it was unfortunate that “the youth of today are now a bunch of lazy people refusing to acquire vocations that will make them useful citizens but rather choose easy ‘broadway’ leading to the destruction of many of them.

“What kind of generation is the country bringing up, what kind of Christians are we bringing up,” the Moderator queried.

Rt. Rev. Dr. Agidi expressed worry about the get-rich-quick attitude of Christians and asked them to live simple and fulfilling lives, saying “Our Lord Jesus lived a simple life which we all must emulate.
