Head of Church of Rabbi calls for unity to ensure national development

Ofankor (GAR), July 5, GNA-Prophet Kwabena Tawiah, General Overseer of the Church of Rabbi at Ofankor near Amasaman in the Greater Accra Region, has called on political parties to bury their differences and rally behind the government to ensure national development. He said now that the elections were over, there was the need for the political parties to unite and fight for a common goal to ensure a better Ghana we were all yearning for.

Prophet Tawiah made the call when delivering a sermon at a special Thanksgiving Service at Ofankor on Sunday.

He appealed to heads of religious bodies also to unite and champion the cause of unity and pray for the nation's growth, stability and development.

On the recent spate of accidents that had bedevilled the nation, Prophet Tawiah advised drivers to desist from driving under the influence of alcohol which, he said was the major cause of road accidents.

Prophet Tawiah also advised parents to take proper care of their children to enable them to grow to become useful citizens. He urged Christians to open a new chapter by refraining from acts which hinder national development. 05 July 09
