Gospel singer to organise programme for flood victims

Ace Ghanaian Gospel female Singer, Mrs Bernice Ansah is organising a National Believers All Night Programme, to pray and raise funds for victims of the twin disaster that struck Accra on June 3.

The event to take place at Accra International Conference Centre on June 19 at 8pm in Accra, would parade a host of renowned Ghanaian artistes and men of God including the UK based Dr Lawrence Tetteh, an International Evangelist, as the Special Guest Speaker.

Mrs Ansah known for hit singles such as “Turning Around,” “Gbenze Gbenze,” and “Who has the final say,” told Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview in Accra that the event expected to attract people from all walks of life devoid of ethnicity or political backgrounds, is to seek the face of the Lord for the flood victims as well as those who died or got injured in the explosion that struck the GOIL filling station at Kwame Nkrumah Circle.

“The purpose of the All Believers All Night is to pray for the injured and the hospitalised and all those who have lost loved ones as a result of the tragic event that saddened hearts on June 3.

“The programme promises to be spectacular and all are cordially invited, “she said.

Dr Tetteh told the GNA that prayer is a powerful tool that unlocks the gate of heaven when such crisis hit a people and to equally go before the presence of God with praises and worship is to say how grateful we are as a people even in times of mourning.

“A prayerless nation is a powerless nation and powerless nation is a prayers nation.

“As a country we should not play the blame game about the disaster or seek to exploit it for political reasons. We are in it as a nation and with a massive united front we can turn things around by going after the ultimate source of all- God.

“Every Ghanaians should be at the event to pray for the victims and affected victims and donate their ‘widows’ mite,’ to show how we care as a nation.”
