‘Good Friday is a day of reconciliation’

Reverend Albert Amoah of the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church, on Friday called on the people to unite and love and forgive one another for the country to develop.

He made the call in a sermon at a Good Friday service at the AME Church of Gethsemane at Kweikuma near Takoradi.

Rev. Amoah said Good Friday is a reminder of the love of God for humankind and the celebration of the day should fill everybody with joy because Jesus died to redeem humankind from sin.

He said Good Friday marks reconciliation of man with God and the death of Jesus on the cross should open the way for people to approach God with love and trust.
