Ghanaian youth advised against indecent dressing

Mankranso (Ash), Jan 19, GNA - The Christian youth in the country have been reminded by their biblical obligation to fight wrong in society with their strong youthful influence. Pastor Isaac Konadu, the Agona West District Pastor of the Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) Church, who gave the reminder, said the Christian youth by their exemplary conduct could impact positively on the ailing society.

He was preaching a sermon on the theme, 93Get Closer to God" during the dedication service of choir and singing band robes for the church at Mankranso in the Ahafo-Ano South district. Pastor Konadu urged the choristers not only to use the robes for outward adornment but as a cloak of righteousness to show Christ-like character to the world just like the biblical Aaron was adorned with a holy garment in his priesthood.

He further charged the singers to dress decently and shun suggestive dressing now in vogue since it only contributes to promiscuity and immoral life.

Pastor Daasebre Nsiah-Appiah, the Mankranso District Pastor of the church, commended the church members for their efforts which has helped to move the church forward and urged them to continue. Elder Owusu Boakye, Music director of the church recounted the challenges the choir faced initially but was thankful to God who helped them to surmount all those hurdles.

He commended one Attah Owusu now resident in the United States of America for donating a 20 million-cedi keyboard to the choir.
