G/A Maulvi advises mankind to learn to live in peace

Tema, Dec. 30, GNA - Maulvi Raghib Zia al Hag, the Greater Accra Regional Missionary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, on Saturday underscored the need for people to live peacefully with each other irrespective of their ethnicity and religion.

Leading the Ahmadiyya sect in prayers at the Mission in Tema to mark Eid ul-Adha, Maulvi Hag expressed regretted that despite the technological advancement in the world "we have not learnt to live with each other in peace and harmony".

"Today Jews, Christians, Muslims continue to claim to be the physical or spiritual progeny of Ibrahim but practically carry grudge against each other and seem to be paying no respect to that great patriarch."

He therefore appealed to society to emulate the Prophet Ibrahim in the Koran who was a peacemaker, sacrificed and submitted to everyone regardless of the status and this would bring unity in society. The Maulvi advised on burying of differences and pursue the course of peace, harmony and love. 30 Dec. 06
