Four Garrison churches organise youth games

The Four Garrison (Uaddara Barracks) Churches in Kumasi, have organised youth games to celebrate the New Year.

The event, which drew a sizeable crowd, was held at the Armed Forces Senior High/Technical School Park.

It saw teams from the Anglican, Catholic, Seventh Day Adventist (SDA), Pentecost and the Methodist/Presbyterian Church (MPC) engaged in lively football and volleyball competition.

The games provided the platform for the Christian youth to socialise and have fun.

SDA emerged winners of the competition after topping the league table with seven points, with the MPC as runners-up, having bagged five points.

Mr Michael Yumfa Abrantie, Coordinator of the Games, told the GNA Sport that their goal was to promote unity.

He hailed the event as a big success and hinted that it would be held annually.
