Father Adoboli marks 25 years in priesthood

Hundreds of people thronged the Holy Spirit Cathedral Wednesday, July 13 to mark the 25th priestly anniversary of the Vicar General of the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra, Monsignor Francis Adoboli.

The Vicar General was ordained as a priest in July 1991 by the late Most Rev. Dominic Andoh at Battor in the Volta Region.

The colourful mass celebration was presided over by Most Reverend Gabriel Charles Palmer Buckle, Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra.

Fr. Adoboli was joined in the celebration by some colleagues in the priesthood, notably - Fr. Walter Mawuse Agbekor and Fr. Philip Mensah.

Very Rev. Fr. Adoboli was born in Kpenu, near Dabala in the Volta Region and had his education at the St. Peter’s Regional Seminary, Pedu in the Central Region.

He also attended Pope John Senior High School and Junior Seminary in Koforidua.

He is currently the direct assistant to the Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra - Most Reverend Gabriel Charles Palmer Buckle
