"Ewurade Kasa" 2010 opens in Accra

Accra, Feb. 17, GNA-The Reverend Fred Asare, Resident Pastor of the El-Shadai World Evangelism Ministry has called on Christians to be wary of fake pastors whose aim is to amass wealth at the expense of the citizens. He said the attitude of such pastors does not only bring the name of the clergy into disrepute but also contribute to chaos, confusion and disunity in some families.

Rev. Asare made the call at the opening of a 20-day revival of the church at Madina in Accra on Wednesday. About 200 members of the church as well as members from the community are attending the revival dubbed 'Ewurade Kasa 2010' which is under the theme 'Double Honour'

It is aimed at equipping the participants both spiritually and physically to enable them overcome challenges they might face. Some of the topics expected to be treated included "righteousness", "ability to depend on the word of God" and "the power of God in the midst of storm".

Rev. Asare advised the youth as future leaders to desist from acts which may hinder the growth and the development of the nation. He appealed to politicians to desist from making promises which they could not deliver but have the development of the nation at heart. Rev. Asare expressed the hope that participants would be equipped fully at the end of the revival and also contribute meaningfully to national transformation. 17 Feb.10
