Easter - Hohoe

The Reverend David Delali, Resident Pastor of Top Charismatic Ministry at Hohoe on Sunday said the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ was a wake-up call for Christians to be committed to the ideals of Christendom.

He said the period should propel Christians to chart morally upright lifestyles, worthy of emulation.

Rev. Delali, who was delivering a sermon, said true Christians should avoid corruptible tendencies, laziness and other social vices, which did not promote Christendom.

He wondered why in an era of proliferation of churches, vices such as armed robbery and corruption, indiscipline, drug abuse and addiction continued to be on the ascendancy. The Pastor called for a crusade to reverse the trend "to win the war for Christ".

Rev. Delali said the church would have failed in its duty if it sits aloft and leave the fight for society and the government to address.

He urged the churc h to begin purging itself and extend it to the society to bring sanity to God's people.
