EP Church Moderator appointed Executive Member of Eminent Persons Ecumenical Programme for Peace in Africa

Moderator of the General Assembly of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana, Rt. Rev. Dr. Lt. Col. Bliss Divine Agbeko (Rtd) has been appointed as an Executive Member of the Eminent Persons of the Ecumenical Programme for Peace in Africa (EPEPPA).

This appointment was announced by the All Africa Conference of Churches (AACC), whose secretariat is based in Nairobi, Kenya.

The appointment was communicated in an official letter signed by Rev. Dr. Fidon Mwombeki, General Secretary of AACC.

In the letter, Rt. Rev. Dr. Agbeko was charged with playing an active role in conflict mediation, election observation, and solidarity missions aimed at fostering peace across the African continent.

These duties, according to the statement, form part of AACC’s longstanding commitment to social justice, human rights, and reconciliation in regions plagued by conflict or political instability.

This appointment also comes on the heels of his recent election as Chairman of the Christian Council of Ghana, seven weeks ago.

His dual leadership positions reflect an increasing growth in continental and national trust in his capacity to mediate, inspire unity, and lead peace initiatives.

With his military background and pastoral leadership, Rt. Rev. Dr. Agbeko is uniquely positioned to contribute significantly to the work of EPEPPA.
