Duncan-Williams rescues drug addicts; turns them into soul winners

Some former Drug addicts, through Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams’ Church, have now become Ambassadors for Christ.

The Christian Action Faith Ministries (CAFM), through its philanthropy, has helped to rescue many drug addicts through the Chosen Rehab Centre.

Many of the converts are now helping to win over fellow drug addicts for Christ.

In a corporate social responsibility documentary screened by the Church to demonstrate its commitment toward impacting society, some of the converted former addicts said the intervention of the Church in their lives, had been life-saving.

They are, therefore, committed to rescuing others from the shackles of drug addiction and also winning them for Christ.

“My name is Ernest Acheampong. I’ve been here for about 7 months. I was addicted to heroin and cocaine. We are going to the Ghetto because that was where I was, and the Lord brought me out, so I have to go there and preach the word of God to them so that they will also get a change of mind to follow Jesus,” he said.

Another converted former addict said in the video: “My name is Harold Nettey. 15th of next month will be exactly one year since I’ve been in Chosen Rehab Centre. I had my own challenges. I was addicted to cocaine and heroin for 17 years”.

They are among hundreds of drug addicted who are being fostered by the Christian Action Faith Ministries.

Every day, the Church feeds over 220 drug addicts as well as about 160 orphans.

It also provides scholarship for over 250 students as well as provides water, food and other amenities for deprived communities in the country.
