Deeper Life Easter Retreat opens at Ayikumaa

Ayikuma (GAR), April 3, GNA-Pastor Joseph Kwame Ofori Agyemang, Adenta District Head of the Deeper Life Bible Church, has called on Ghanaians to refrain from acts which hinder national development.

He said Ghanaians especially Christians would be doing a disservice to GOD if they did not allow the teachings of Jesus Christ to reflect in their daily lives.

Pastor Agyemang made the call at the opening of this year's Madina Divisional Retreat of the Church at Ayikuma, near Dodowa in the Greater Accra Region on Friday. The four-day event, which is under the theme: "Evangelism and Holiness", is being attended by the church members from Haatso, Madina Central, Oyarifa, Dodowa, Adenta, Redco Flats and Ogbodzo. It is aimed at building the capacity of the participants and also equipping them both spiritual and physical to enable them to withstand the rough and tumble of evangelism. Pastor Agyemang charged them to always seek the salvation of God first and that all things would be added unto them. He urged the youth to be addicted to the word of God which he said was the surest way of succeeding in life. The Adenta District Head Pastor advised political parties to rally behind the government to ensure national transformation. Pastor William Offei Ofori, Camp Commandant, asked parents to train their children in a way that ensure discipline, the fear of God in their lives. This, he said, would help minimize anti-social vices such as 'Sakawa" , murder and robbery, He expressed the hope that the retreat would benefit participants and would help them to acquire religious knowledge
