Clergy urged to rediscover their Prophetic Voice

Akatsi, (V/R), Aug. 5, GNA- The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ave-Avenor, Mr Doe Adjaho has called on the Clergy to rediscover their " Prophetic Voice, which always brought leaders of nations to order when they went wrong". "You must always speak the truth backed with action like Jesus Christ who at a point in time used the cane to ensure that the right thing was done", he exhorted.

Mr Adjaho made the call when he addressed members of the Pentecost Church at Akatsi at the end of a five-day "Miracle Crusade" on the theme, "Loose Him and Let Him Go". He said the country would be worse off if the Clergy declined to tell the truth. Mr Adjaho said events in the country in the run-up to the December elections, and the atmosphere of uncertainty these seemed to be generating must engage the serious attention of the Clergy. He said elections were won through the ballot box rather than violence. Mr Adjaho urged his constituents to return him to Parliament in the December elections because of his positive achievements as their MP in the last 16 years.

Apostle Emmanuel Asante, Aflao Area Head of the Church, cautioned against the craze for fashion and invasion of foreign cultures and the erosion of moral discipline in the country. Prayers were said for the President, MPs and unity, peace and prosperity of the country.
