Churches keeping societies from sliding into doom - Evangelist Tetteh

Rev. Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, an International Evangelist, has said religious groups were the bastions keeping societies from sliding into doom, in these days of high moral decadence across the world.

He said but for the churches, things would have been worse for Ghana and many other societies.

Rev. Dr. Tetteh was answering a question at a press-conference in Ho on whether in the light of increased deviant behaviours, the churches were not losing the war against immorality.

The interaction with the media occurred during the celebrated evangelist’s religious outreach effort to the Volta Region in collaboration with local pastors and his guest, Rev. Paul Naughton of the Benny Hinn Ministries in the UK.

The programme dubbed Ghana for Christ Crusade, comprised intercessions, healing and deliverance and mentorships, and it attracted large groups of people from all parts of the region.

Rev. Dr. Tetteh, who is Founder/President of the Worldwide Miracle Outreach said the fight against deviant behaviour was a fight for all.

He said many of the people of character in society today were products of the church.

Rev. Kwabena Kodua of the Gracious Seed Exploits said the church was conscious of its role in national building and would support anything would promote good governance.
