About 150 Members of the Church of Pentecost Laterbiokorshie Bethel Redemption Centre in Accra who attended service today Sunday, 28th July were clad in impressive traditional wear to promote cultural heritage.

It was a day awashed with the display of crafted bakatari and Kente cloth with ahenema slippers, happiness, exchanging of pleasantries, beads of different sizes worn around the neck and wrists to showcase the rich cultures of ethnic groups across the country.

As some members were spotted adjusting their cloth others were moved to dance from the pulsating music played by the Sound Engineer.

The excitement drew sister members and passers-by who determined to catch a glimpse of the programme as the door was closed.

A sketch of two characters became the cynosure when the master of ceremonies announce that time was due for the sketch. Major lesson drawn was the need to have a sense of tolerance to accommodate people of diverse backgrounds.

The church's choir Mountain Movers also cemented their grounds with indigenous songs to match up with the motive of the programme.

Members also took turns to overdo themselves with their dancing moves as others quietly concentrated on themselves.

Dressed in a white and sea blue Kente matching with beads adorned on the neck and closing in on with ahenena slippers, the MC called all regions in turns to give brief histories of their regions which was climaxed with some traditional music and dance.

Speaking during the service, the local Presiding Elder, Elder Isaac Boamah-Darko who doubles as the Area Coordinator of the Pentecost Professionals Guild and President of the Pentecost Media Guild Worldwide congratulated members for their massive participation and expressed the hope to instill such sense of cooperation to the work of God.

He also noted that the motive of traditional wear was to promote a sense of togetherness and to drum home unity and acceptance among all members despite their religious backgrounds.

He stressed "we are all one as far us we have been saved by the blood of Jesus Christ irrespective of our different cultural inclinations".

He hinted that there would be such interesting programmes in the ensuing months and therefore urged members to prepare feverishly.
