Christians urged to stop murmuring and pray for God's "cover"

Ho, Sept. 17, GNA - Reverend Joseph Dzandu, Volta Regional Director of Victory Bible School International on Tuesday, exhorted Christians to stop murmuring about their fears of the December 7, elections and rather seek God's "cover for the nation" through constant prayers. Reverend Dzandu gave the advice when he delivered a sermon at the Jubilee Christian Centre, where a large congregation converged to take part in a week-long prayer festival for peaceful elections at Ho. The prayer festival is the initiative of the Ho Area Ministers Association (HAMA). Reverend Dzandu urged Christians to be on their knees and ask God's mercy to spare the country any further bloody clashes such as those that occurred at Bawku and Gushiegu. He said the bloody clashes that had taken place in the country in recent times were part of the agenda of evil forces to destabilize the country and spill innocent blood. Reverend Dzandu therefore exhorted Christians to pray for the political leaders to be good examples to their followers and for God to heal the land and choose the right person to rule over it. Reverend James Noble Tulasi, Head Pastor of Jubilee Christian Centre also admonished Christians to pray without ceasing as the "Jews did for Peter and that God should reign in the heart of men" for a free, fair, transparent and peaceful elections.
