Christians urged to pray for peace

Koforidua, Jan. 3, GNA - Pastor Stephen Noble Estsie of the Christian Divine Church in Koforidua, has urged Christians to pray for peace without ceasing for the nation. "Let us pray for peace, wisdom, strength and courage for the leadership of this nation and its people," he said.

Speaking at the launch of the Church's 50th Anniversary in Koforidua, Pastor Estsie urged Ghanaians to take a cue from events in other African countries so as to preserve the peace Ghana is enjoying. He urged Christians to foster an enabling environment for excellence so that Ghanaians would take their destiny into their own hands.

Pastor Estsie called on Christians to partner the state to face challenges of the country. He appealed to Ghanaians to be patriotic, tolerable and peace loving people so as to rise above issues like gender, tribe, religion or social status that appear to divide them.
