Christians exalted to extol Christ's kingdom

Accra, May 29, GNA- Reverend Dr Livingstone K. Buama, Moderator of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana, on Sunday exalted Christians to extol Christ's kingdom on earth to benefit from the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

He said, "without the Holy Spirit we can not achieve life's expectations and we therefore need to lead committed Christian lifestyles to benefit from the Christ's abundant anointing".

Rev Dr Buama was preaching the sermon at the induction service of Rev. David A. Y. Adjakra new Chairman of the Central Presbytery of the Church, which coincided with the Day of Pentecost, at Hohoe. He urged Christians to live according to the tenets of the gospel and ensure that "what you say, do, hear or think should glorify and edify God".

Rev. Dr. Buama said gossip, corruption, theft, armed robbery and lying among other vices, were against the Holy Spirit.

He asked the new Presbytery Chairman to emulate the role of Jeremiah in the Bible to enable him "uproot and to pull down, to destroy and to overthrow to build and plant"

Rev Adjakra pledged to transform the Presbytery into a viable organization and urged all and sundry to assist him realize this dream. May 29, 2007
