‘Be symbols of honesty and morality’ - Evangelist

13th graduation ceremony of the Ateiku Church of Christ School of Evangelism 13th graduation ceremony of the Ateiku Church of Christ School of Evangelism

Evangelist Lawrence Kwaku Oduro, Director of Ateiku Church of Christ School of Evangelism has challenged the Clergy to walk the talk and be symbols of honesty and upright behaviour to serve as role models in society.

“Pastors and men of God must be bold to walk the talk whilst preaching righteousness, honesty and good behavior.”

He said the clergy must make righteousness their topmost priority and act accordingly to have the moral justification to speak against immorality in the society.

Evangelist Oduro was speaking at the 13th graduation ceremony of the Ateiku Church of Christ School of Evangelism where 19 new evangelists were ordained to help propagate the gospel of Christ.

He expressed concern about the emergence of false prophets and evangelists who had adulterated the prophetic Ministry leaving most of their patrons impoverished and confused.

He urged Christians and Ghanaians in general to remain alert and scrutinize the identity of those who posed as prophets and evangelists and be bold to question them on issues they deemed suspicious of.

Oduro also called on the clergy to be bold to speak against corruption and injustices which had engulfed society.

He said the school would continue to restructure and develop a curriculum that would better equip and deepen the knowledge and faith of its graduates to be efficient and effective evangelists to defend the gospel wherever they found themselves.

Evangalist Oduro said the school in collaboration with the Missions Resource Network (MRN) of USA had formed a Francophone mission team to embark on evangelism in francophone countries within the West African Sub-Region.

He urged the new evangelists to help change society by propagating the gospel without fear.

Evangelist Oduro appealed to individuals and organisations to support the School to construct dormitories and a library to enhance teaching and learning.

Dr Rick Janelle of the Shiliton Church of Christ, Pennsylvania, USA urged the newly-ordained evangelists to be strong and committed to the service of the Ministry, adding that, it behooved on them to live worthy lives that would attract more souls to God’s kingdom.

He asked the evangelists to study the Bible constantly since evangelism had become more challenging in recent times.
