Apostolic Church launches 80th anniversary

The Nii Boiman District of The Apostolic Church, Ghana, would offer scholarship to 10 brilliant but needy students this year to enable them to further their education.

The school fees of the beneficiaries would be paid from the junior to senior high school levels.

Pastor J. A. Mankralo, District Pastor, announced this on Sunday at the launch of 80th anniversary celebration of the church at Nii Boiman in Accra.

The year-long celebration is on the theme: "Celebrating Christ, Our Consistent Companion”.

Pastor Mankralo said the church would also award scholarships to 10 students every year to further their education.

He said the church had set up a foundation which catered for the needs of the aged in the community and that it had also acquired a large tract of land to put up a conference centre for commercial purposes.

He said the youth would be given entrepreneurial skills to enable them to be self employed.

Apostle Christian Nartey, Adabraka Area Superintendent of the Church, urged Christians to eschew all forms of negative tendencies which may bring Christendom into disrepute.

Some of the activities earmarked for the celebrations are donation to orphanages, clean-up exercises and evangelism.
