Anglican Church builds ultra-modern Bishop Court

Mr Eric Opoku, the Brong-Ahafo Regional Minister, has inaugurated a GH¢400,000.00 Bishop Court constructed by the Sunyani Anglican Diocese at Penkwasi in the Sunyani Municipality.

Attached to the official residence of the Rev Dr Festus Yeboah-Asuamah, Anglican Bishop of Sunyani Diocese, which has a chaplain, guest rooms and four bedrooms is an out-house for other staff, and a 15-capacity car parking bay.

Mr Opoku said the government appreciated the contributions of the Anglican Church in the areas of health and education.

He stressed the need to strengthen existing partnership between the state and the church not only to improve on national infrastructure base, but also facilitate spiritual development of Ghanaians.

Mr Opoku said despite the proliferation of churches, armed robbery, corruption and act of immorality were on the ascendancy and appealed to churches and other religious bodies to help bring down moral decay in society.

Bishop Yeboah-Asuamah expressed appreciation to members of the diocese for their kindness and said he was optimistic that the prevailing unity among members would be strengthened.
