Participants embrace Veraldo SHS aerobics

The Veraldo Senior High Schools Aerobics Tour 2018 which is being organized as a side package of the Schools Sanitation Inspection Tour has caught up with a number of students as they have embraced the idea to live healthy lifestyles.

The Sanitation Tour which is in its fourth season is organized by Dreamland Sports Plus headed by Emmanuel Olla William in collaboration with the PE Unit of the Ghana Education Service (GES) and sponsored by Kasapreko Company Ltd, producers of Veraldo soft drink.

The Tour has so far gone to 16 out of the 20 selected Senior High Schools all over Ghana.

Emmanuel Olla Williams the CEO of Dreamland Sports Plus who doubles as Youth Director of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) said the programme is geared at promoting exercising in the schools and teaching them the culture of environmental cleanliness.

He expressed that the students have shown interest and want it repeated and organized every Saturday of the month.

He urged the students to exercise regularly, eat nutritious meals plus lots of fruits and tidy up their environs. He thanked the sponsors of the programme, Camel Antiseptic, Nunu Milk, Fain Washing Powder, Veraldo drink and Awake Mineral Water.

Eunice Adjei Bonsu, Director for Water & CSD at Kasapreko Company said they want healthy future leaders and advised the students to cultivate healthy living habits.

She hinted that as part of their company’s social responsibility, they support environmental, entertainment, health and sports activities.

The Sanitation Tour has gone to schools like Yaa Asantewaa Girls SHS, Manfi Methodist Girls SHS, Aggrey Memorial SHS, Arch Bishop Porter Girls SHS, Kumasi Girls SHS, Amenfiman SHS, Afia Kobi Girls SHS, Techiman SHS, Ghana SHS, Edukrom SHS and Aburi SecTec. The next stop of the Tour is the Tema SHS.
