Kotoko, Power draw

Tema, Sept. 21, GNA-- Asante Kotoko's hopes of maintaining their three-point lead in the Ghana Telecom Premier League was dashed as they were held to a 1-1 drawn game in their match against Power F/C at Tema.

It was Power F/C, who piled up pressure on their opponents after Referee Joseph Maccarthy of Cape Coast signalled both teams into action.

Power F/C continued their pressure and snatched the leader in the 43rd minute through Nana Yaw, who headed home a corner kick taken by Kenneth Sarpong to take a 1-0 half time lead.

Kotoko brought in Nnana Arhin Duah for Joe Okyere and George Yamoah for Daniel Acqquah as the changes benefited Kotoko who snatched the equalizer through Yusif Chibsah in the 60th minute. Kwaabena Yaro nearly got the match winner for Power in the 80th minute but found his terrific shot being saved by goalkeeper Habib Mohammed of Kotoko. Kenneth Sarpong of Power won the best player of the match award.
