Real Sportive hold Power to a draw

Accra, Oct 3, GNA - Visiting Tema-based Real Sportive picked a valuable away point from their game against Power FC when they settled for a goalless drawn game in their sixth week Premier league match at the El-Wak Park on Sunday. Sportive coming from their 2-1 shocking win over Zone B group leaders, Accra Hearts of Oak failed to translate their dominance into goals as the Richard Anderson led-attack exhibited poor shooting upfront.

The attackers lacked the bite to cause any major upset to their host who were unimpressive throughout the game. Both teams played an improved second half game with Power's brightest chance falling the way of Moses Abban whose powerful free kick behind the 18-yard box missed target narrowly on the 55th mark. Douglas Nkrumah brought the best out of fast improving Sportive goalkeeper, Laud Quartey when the later retreated to overstretch his elastic limit to punch a powerful 30-metre shot to corner.

The visitors however had their turn in the 83rd minute when Abdulai's powerful drive from a scramble in front of the Power box kissed the post and bounced back to play to end the match goalless.
