Onetouch Premier League Midweek Matches

AS THE weeks go by, so has been the tempo of the Onetouch Premier League, and when the competition reaches the sixth week tomorrow, fireworks are expected to be the hallmark at all the centres.

Arguably, the Harbour City, Tema, will be the action spot, where 'returnees' Accra Hearts of Oak and Ashgold, who had just returned from South Africa will sort things out at the Tema Park.

Ashgold appear favourites in this clash taking into account their status in the six-week competition and recently emerging as champions in the Mucafe competition a few days ago in South Africa.

Indeed, the exceptional striking prowess of former Hearts' striker, Emmanuel 'general' Osei Kufuor will, certainly be an advantage to the visitors.

The soccer miners recent pedigree notwithstanding, the Phobians, who will be playing their first home game at their newly-adopted Tema Park seem aggressive to send the visitors home with no points.

But Ashgold's strong desire to firmly hold on to the lead and the home side's quest to muscle their way to the top spot is what makes the tie uncompromising.

In other games, second-placed Asante Kotoko will stay at their Konongo base to play Kpando Heart of Lions, while in form Tema Youth will be the guests of Liberty Professionals in Dansoman.

At Ho, Power FC welcome Great Olympics, with giant killers, Feyenoord Academy playing as guests of RTU. Real Sportive will trek to Berekum to face Arsenal, while All Blacks welcome King Faisal to the Swedru Park.
