New Edubiase share points with visiting Liberty

New Edubiase United put up a last minute effort to share the points, 2-2 with Dansoman-based Liberty Professionals in the 19 week Glo Premier League match played at the Ashanti Bekwai Gyamfi Park on Sunday.

It was visiting Liberty who played with 10 men from the 40th minute after defender Isaac Sackey was red carded by referee Awal Mohammed for dangerous tackle on Mumuni Abukari who drew first blood in the 62nd minute through Latif Salifu.

The ‘Scientific Soccer Lads’ went on to increase their tally to 2-0 through an individual effort by Ebrima Kamara in the 56th minute.

New Edubiase who were undaunted by the early goals against them lifted up their game as they mounted series of attacks, which yielded dividends when they were awarded a penalty for Emmanuel Baffoe to score in the 64th minute.

The homers continued their attack on Liberty and their effort was rewarded when a hard pressed defender, substitute Samuel Sarfo in an attempt to clear a dangerous situation rather headed the ball past goalkeeper Daniel Adei who was of his mark in the 88th minute to end the match 2-2.
