Medeama to stretch Kotoko

Medeama Sporting Club will on Sunday travel to the garden City to face the Porcupine Warriors Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in the penultimate match of the 2013/14 Ghana Premier League.
Coach Didi Dramani has managed to build quite a decent team for the red army but he is yet to find a fox-in-the-box finisher. Yahya Mohammed pulled a masterstroke last weekend to give Kotoko a comfortable away win at the Tema Park last week and if he should find his feet then Medeama’s central pair will have a mouth full to swallow.
The Porcupine Warriors have cemented their lead on the table throughout the season and would like to accomplish their mission to the later. Medeama on the other hand is fourth on the log with 22 points.
Matches between this two sides at the Baba Yara Stadium has always been difficult to predict even for the football soothsayers and this match is going to follow suit but I see a scoring draw from this encounter.
Glorious Accra Hearts of Oak continues to serve their ban and would play as host to Aduana Stars at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.
Coach Mohammed Polo’s side performance against Ebusua Dwarfs at the Robert Mensah Park last week was not exactly an edge-of-the-seat stuff but hey who cares? They managed to steal the show with a solitary win from the booth of their midfield pass master Thomas Abbey.
Far too much was made out of the dribbling magician’s appointment as the Coach of Hearts but he proved his worth in his first assignment last weekend. What Polo is seeking to do at the moment is making his team difficult to beat, and play against.
Hearts is second on the ladder with 26 points whiles Aduana is eighth with 17 points. Polo doesn’t need any mallam to tell him that the strength of the Aduana team lies in the bosom of a certain Godfred Saka and the earlier he stops him the better for him and his team.
New Edubiase United will welcome Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs at the Nana Gyamfi Park. Ebusua Dwarfs are suffering from internal wrangling and it’s really putting the club at a very bad position.
Edubiase also did not start the season well but they are currently tenth on the log with 16 points whiles Dwarfs have moved down to the thirteenth position with 14 points. I tip the home side to carry the maximum points but I cannot also overrule Dwarfs pulling a surprise from this game.
Soccer miners Ashantigold fc will travel to the Brong Ahafo Region to play as guest to Bechem United. Ashantigold is enjoying their best season in recent years and are currently lying third on the table with 25 points whiles Bechem occupies the seventh spot with 17 points.
At the Wa Park, All Stars will welcome the giant killers Kpando Hearts of Lions. If there is one team in the Ghana Premier League that knows how to win home matches then it’s All Stars but Lions have also proven not to be intimidated by any teams home superiority.
All Stars are twelfth on the ladder with 15 points whiles the giants killers are six points apart and fifth on the table.
Giant of the West, Sekondi Hasaacas will play as host to Alhaji Grunsah’s King Faisal at the Essipong Stadium. Until last week Hasaacas was on a renaissance until Ashantigold stopped them at the Len Clay Stadium. Hasaacas is eleventh on the table with 16 points whiles King Faisal have leap-flogged to the ninth spot with same 16 points.
The Golden City Park in Berekum will see Chelsea try to vent their anger on Liberty Professionals. Berekum Chelsea has nothing positive in my books this season and if they really want to stay in the league then they have to pick points like this. Chelsea is fifteenth on the table with 13 points whiles Liberty is sixth with 17 points.
However at the Tema Community 3 Park, the battle for survival will be evoked between Inter Allies and Amidaus Professionals. Inter Allies are rooted at the bottom of the table with 9 points whiles Amidaus are fourteenth with 14 points.
