Medeama beat Mighty Jets in Accra

Visiting Medeama beat Mighty Jets 2-1 in their Week 21 Glo Premier League encounter on Saturday at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Tarkwa-based club came from behind to beat the hosts to boost their standings on the league log.

For Mighty Jets, the result added to their poor outing since the commencement of the second halve of the season as they remain without a win.

Languishing in the relegation zone, the homers got off well making clear their intent to carry the day with Sidi Abubakar and Mubarak Sinare leading raids into the visitor’s area.

But they had to wait till a minute from half time before top scorer Abubakar scored to give them a 1-0 lead at half time.

Medeama resumed the better side and Kwabena Adusei restored parity on 66 minutes with a superb strike.

The game remained balance and appeared heading for a stalemate before Hans Kwofie notched home the winner a minute from time.

Medeama move to ninth position with 28 points whilst Mighty Jets, six points less occupy the 12th position.**
