League to begin on October 4

The Premier League Board have proposed 4 October for the start of the new Glo Premier League season after consultation with the Ghana Football Association in order to meet the Fifa deadline.

Fifa expects all national associations to end their various domestic leagues by the middle of May next year due to the world cup.

Player registration is scheduled to begin on 1 September and the verification from 16-25 September.

All other adjustments made will be ratified at the highest decision-making body, Congress, on 26-27 August in Accra.

The Ghana Football Association has targeted to bring back the FA Cup for the first since 2005 although being faced with a tight calendar.
