Kessben beats New Edubiase 3-1

Essipong, (W/R) Oct. 6, GNA - Kessben F/C on Wednesday beat New Edubiase FC 3-1 in their midweek Glo Premier League match played at the Sekondi Sports Stadium at Essipong.

The League leaders opened attack right after the kick off paving the way for Hans Kwofie to blast home the fast goal within thirty seconds of the game.

They continued to keep up pressure on their opponents and rightly found the net again through James Boadu in the fifth minute. Stephen Manu (B.A) pulled back a goal for New Edubiase in the 30th minute after both sides had played aggressively in search of the upper hand.

A spot-kick which was awarded Kessben in the 35th minute was expertly taken by Joseph Hendricks for the third goal of the league leaders.

New Edubiase fought back gallantly to reduce the tally but the defence of Kessben stood firmly to hold them at bay to end the first half.

Back from the recess, New Edubiase continued with their attack but again lost possession to Kessben who also forced the visitors to defend to prevent conceding any further goals.
