Kessben 3-0 Great Olympics

Abrankese (Ash), Mar.12, GNA- Kessben put up a splendid performance to beat Accra Great Olympics 3-0 in their Onetouch Premier League mid-week encounter played at Anane Boateng Sports Stadium at Abrankese on the Lake Road on Wednesday.

Kessben had their first goal through Ransford Osei when he finished off, with a right footer, Bismark Idan's cross in the 13th.minute. After the goal, Olympics also made series of forays to level up but the defence of Kessben stood gallantly.

Osei had another opportunity in the 32nd minute to increase the count, but with only goalkeeper Benard Mensah to beat, he hit the side netting with a powerful shot.

Olympics brought on Paa Joe Kumah for injured Rahman Billah in the 34th.minute and three minutes later they had a free kick just outside the box, but Eric Aryee shot wide from the resultant goalmouth melee. Ransford Osei made it 2-0 for Kessben in the 43rd minute from the penalty spot after Samuel Laryee had handled the ball in the box. In the second half, Olympics improved upon their game through quick short passes but their attackers could not put the ball into the net after incessant incursions.

Let off the hook, Kessben scored their third goal through Moro Ibrahim in the 76th minute after Ransford Osei who was adjudged 'man of the match' had wasted a chance in the 75th.minute.
