Hearts squeeze past Kessben FC

Accra, Dec 22, GNA - Accra Hearts of Oak beat Kessben FC by a lone goal in their week four Premier League clash at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Accra on Monday.

Striker Eric Gawu's 71st minute strike gave the Phobians their third win of the season in the fixture that wraps up the week four matches. Kessben started very well and came close to breaking the deadlock twice in the opening half but Edmund Owusu-Peprah shot wide on both occasions.

Hearts coach, Kosta Papic brought on Felix Baffoe in three minutes past the hour mark and that proved the turning point for the Phobians. Baffoe added some bite into the Hearts attack and during one of his usual raids into the Kessben half, he crossed to Gawu who had the easy task to connect home from close range. The visitors fought on for the equalizer but failed to make the best of the few scoring chances that came their way.
