Ghana Premier League Week-20 Round-up

Berekum Chelsea 1-0 RTU

Real Tamale United (RTU) remained winless after 20 games, losing away to Berekum Chelsea. Joseph Attubisah scored the goal that made sure the Blues bounced back from a mid-week defeat to Asante Kotoko to move to the second place on the table. RTU's loss was their ninth away defeat in 10 games this season.

King Faisal 1-0 Arsenal

Second from bottom, Berekum Arsenals’ woes continued after suffering a defeat at the hands of King Faisal in Kumasi. Substitute, Kofi Owusu scored the goal in the 53rd minute. King Faisal have thus completed the double over the Gunners, after beating them 2-1 back in Berekum.

Wa All Stars 0-0 Kotoko

Wa All Stars stretched their unbeaten run to six matches after seeing out a goalless draw against a Kotoko side who were playing their fourth Premier League game in barely 11 days. Kotoko’s inability to pick the three points saw them drop to the third position.

Medeama SC 3-1 Aduana

Godbless Asamoah, Godfred Rockson and Bismark Asiedu were on target for Medeama as they maintained their top spot following a 3-1 victory over former champions, Aduana Stars. Medeama are now three points ahead of second placed, Berekum Chelsea. Godfred Saka scored Aduana's only goal, in what was their their fourth loss on the road this season

Dwarfs 1-0 Liberty Professionals

Ebusua Dwarfs returned to winning ways after their midweek loss at Amidaus Professionals. They beat Liberty Professionals 1-0 courtesy of a Bright Lukeman strike.

Hearts of Oak 2-1 Heart of Lions

The ‘mini revival’ which has seen Hearts still unbeaten in the second round is gradually bringing the Phobia spirit back.  David Duncan’s men came from a goal down to defeat Heart of Lions 2-1 at the Accra sports stadium. Hearts have now amassed 11 points out of a possible 15.

New Edubiase 1-0 Amidaus Professionals

Amidaus Professionals succumbed to defeat in Bekwai earlier on Saturday, going down to a 36th minute Stephen Manu goal from the spot. The goal was Manu's third goal in four consecutive games, helping New Edubiase to their 8th home win out of 10 this season.
