Feyenoord 2 Liberty 0

At Cape Coast, Feyenoord played a highly spirited game to beat Liberty Professionals 2-0 in their Premier League match at the Cape Coast sports stadium on Sunday.

The two sides started the game strongly but it was Feyenoord who gained the upper hand to score the opener through a spot kick taken by full back, Sheriff Adaladi in the 40th minute.

On resumption of the second half, Liberty Professionals made frantic efforts to equalize but goalkeeper Philimon Macarthy who was at his best foiled all their attempts at conceding a goal.

As Liberty Professionals were finding the going very tough they made three changes but that did not deter Feyenoord from increasing the tally to 2-0 through their midfielder, Abubakar Mohammed in the 76th minute to give them a breather from relegation.
