Dwarfs draw with Vipers

Cape Coast, Oct 16, GNA- A 38th minute goal scored by outside right Douglas Mustapha, enabled Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs to hold Zone 2B League leaders Venomous Vipers to a 1-1 draw in their Division One league match played at the Robert Mensah stadium on Sunday. After Accra based Class One, referee Nat Plange, has ushered on the two teams to begin hostilities, it was Vipers who went on an early attack and scored the opener in the 10th minute through a free kick taken by outside left, Frank Mensah.

Undaunted by the early goal, Dwarfs hit back and following series of raids in Vipers vital area, Mustapha connected a midfield pass into the net to bring the scores at par in the 38th minute.

On resumption of the second half, Vipers who dominated and out classed Dwarfs forced the latter to defend for most part of the time and twice came close to scoring but their forwards missed the golden chances as they shot off target.

Results of other League matches are Wise Fighters drew 1 1 with Tarkwa Real United, METRO Stars also drew 2 96 2 with Samartex with Odupon Heroes losing 0 96 1 to Windy Professionals.
