Charles Taylor still absent for Chelsea

Charles Asampong Taylor will have to wait longer to make his return into domestic league football, ALL SPORTS understands the former league best player has yet to get an (International Transfer* *Certificate) ITC clearance to feature for Berekum Chelsea.

The widely travelled Taylor made the switch to the Glo Ghana Premier League champions after returning from his latest ill-fated sojourn in Nigeria but Enugu Rangers, the concerned club, have yet to release the player’s ITC.

It has meant that the playmaker has sat out all of Chelsea’s opening two games of the season so far and is set for the sidelines once again when they meet his former club Hearts of Oak on Match Day 3 in Accra on Sunday.

Obed Nana Kwame Nketiah, CEO of Chelsea, confirmed the situation to ALL SPORTS, moaning that they don’t even know when Enugu Rangers and the Nigerian FA will finally release the ITC to enable the player don the Blue jersey for the Berekum lads.

“I am not part of Sunday’s match so I can’t say anything. I’m really worried because I just want to get back on the pitch and play,” a devastated Charles Taylor responded to ALL SPORTS enquiries on Thursday.
