C.K. Akunnor, Yaw Acheampong In Tussle For Ashanti Gold Post

Footyghana.com understands that former Black Stars captain Charles Kwablah Akunnor is being considered for the role of assistant coach to Croatian Zdravko Logarusic at Ashanti Gold.
According to footyghana.com sources, the assistant coach’s position is vacant after Logarusic indicated that he cannot work with former player Kamara Dini as his assistant.
C.K Akunnor will have to fight it out with former club captain Yaw Acheampong and ex-clubmate Stephen Baidoo for the position.
All three ex-players are being considered for the position by the club’s management and the successful candidate will be announced on Friday.
C.K Akunnor, Yaw Acheampong and Stephen Baidoo all played for the then Obuasi Goldfields during the glory days of the early to mid nineties and all three went on to play for the Black Stars as well.
